ArgLab is to host the 1st European Conference on Argumentation: Argumentation and Reasoned Action

ECA Lisbon 2015 is to be held between 9 and 12 June 2015, at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH), Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal.

One of the greatest living philosophers of language, John R. Searle (University of California, Berkeley, USA) will be keynote speaker at the conference. The other keynote speakers are prominent discourse analysits Isabela & Norman Fairclough (University of Central Lancashire & University of Lancaster, UK) and computer scientist Simon Parson (University of Liverpool, UK).

The conference will the first of a series of ECA conferences organised every other year at a different European location.
