After the initial boom of the Web 2.0, many people are growing unsatisfied with the depth (or lack thereof) of interactions on social websites. In this talk, we present Swarg, an early prototype of an online debating system aimed at a wide social participation, rooted on Dung's Abstract Argumentation. We discuss some features required by such an online debating system and how they can be formally captured and implemented, and some open issues triggered by early user feedback.
